We're glad you're here.
Terra Nova - means "new ground" - is a community church located just north of Columbus, Ohio between Lewis Center and Delaware. We're a community of believers with something for everyone; whether you're checking out God and church for the first time, are looking for a new place to call home, or have decided to give church another try, we hope that you will find it a place that you can find new ground for your spiritual journey.
We would like to invite you to come join us for one of our services. The atmosphere is relaxed and the messages are relevant to your your daily life. Through meaningful Bible-study, and incredible worship, our goal is to help you grow deeper in your relationship with God each and every week.
We believe that church is simple:
- Connect with God (Sunday Gatherings)
- Build healthy relationships with others (Life Groups)
- Serve the World (Ministry Teams)
We are all on a spiritual journey. At Terra Nova we will do our best to provide you with “new ground” for your journey. We won’t ask you to jump through a lot of hoops. We will simply challenge you to make room for God and see what happens.
Our success is not based on our attendance figures or our budget, but how effective we are in bringing the hope of the Gospel to our community. We want to make Delaware a better place simply because we live there. This means we are active in our community seeking social justice, helping the poor, bringing love and peace to the community as a whole. This means our community will seek to fall in love more deeply with God daily through living out the teachings of Christ and seeking to follow Him with all of our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
What to Expect
We are located on the south side of Delaware, at 425 S. Sandusky Street (across from Oak Grove Cemetery).
If it is your first time, we want you to have the best parking spot, so we have reserved a few right next to the doors for you.
As you enter the building, you will be greeted with a smile and a bulletin. Feel free to ask these people any question you might have. There is free coffee/tea available and you are welcome to take it to your seat.
In the auditorium, the adults will spend time reflecting on the greatness of God. We do this through singing, music, art, readings, communion, prayer, and lots of other ways. Please don’t feel obligated to participate in anything. You can simply observe and see how you feel about it. We won’t embarrass you in any way. The music will be of the highest quality and we work hard to make the room comfortable for you.
After the music we generally have a teaching from the Bible. It may be about a specific topic or it might be a study of a certain book in the Bible. Either way it will be presented with creativity and humor, and it will be right out of the Bible.
After the service, we hope you will stop at CONNECTIONS and pick up a gift we have for you. Who can resist a new T-Shirt!?
Hopefully, you will meet some new friends while you are here. We want you to feel like Terra Nova is a place you could call “home.” If you filled out a connection card you will probably get an email or letter from the pastor. Feel free to reply and tell him how you felt; we are always looking for feedback.
What about my children?
Your infant, toddler, preschooler & Kindergarteners will discover a loving and fun environment waiting for him or her. We welcome babies through preschoolers into safe and secure classrooms. They will experience the love of God, and your preschoolers will learn about Jesus every time they are at church.
TN Kids is just the spot for 1st through 5th graders. Your children are in for an interactive experience as they explore great Bible truths and learn in whatever way fits their style--whether that's reading, acting, drawing, listening, singing, playing a game, and more!
Is there anything for middle & high school students?
Yes! We have regular activities for our youth (6-12 grade). Talk to someone at Connections on Sunday morning to get connected with the leaders.
